Built around your takeaway

Don’t let a shortage of drivers become a shortage of orders.

Keep your own ordering, your own customer and your own delivery pricing. Bring in extra driver capacity only when your team cannot cover the next job.

Cover the gaps on busy nights

When your own drivers are full, off sick or unavailable, put the next delivery out to local marketplace drivers instead of turning the order away.

Keep the order direct

Use the marketplace for orders you already take directly. You do not need to move the customer or the food order onto another delivery platform.

Make delivery work for your margins

You choose what to charge your customer and what to offer the driver, so you decide exactly how much of the delivery cost you contribute.

No percentage of the food order

FoodFrom does not take a commission percentage from the value of the customer’s food order when you use the Driver Marketplace.

How it works

From order to driver in three simple steps.

No arranging extra shifts and no calling around. Add the delivery, set the offer and let available drivers decide whether to take it.

1

Add the delivery and set your offer

Enter the customer details, tell drivers when the order will be ready and choose how much you want to offer for the job.

2

A local driver chooses the job

Available self-employed drivers can see the delivery details and driver offer, then choose whether to accept it.

3

Follow it through to delivery

See who accepted, when the order is collected and when the delivery is completed.

Keep delivery commercially sensible

Let the customer cover most of the delivery — you decide the rest.

Using a marketplace driver does not mean you have to absorb the full delivery cost. Set a customer delivery charge that works for your business, then contribute only the difference needed to make the driver offer attractive.

Common questions

Driver Marketplace FAQs

Answers to the main questions you may have about using flexible local delivery support through FoodFrom.

Can I use the FoodFrom Driver Marketplace for orders I take directly?

Yes. You can request a driver for orders you take by phone, through your own website or through another ordering method, as well as eligible FoodFrom orders. You do not need to move all of your ordering to FoodFrom to use the Driver Marketplace.

When is FoodFrom’s marketplace fee charged?

FoodFrom is pay as you go with no monthly subscription. We charge a small marketplace fee when a driver accepts your request. The driver offer is separate and is the amount offered to the driver for completing the delivery. FoodFrom does not take a percentage of the food-order value.

Who decides how much the driver is offered?

You set the driver offer when requesting the delivery. The driver can see your offer alongside the delivery details and remains free to accept or reject the job.

Who decides what the customer pays for delivery?

You stay in control of your customer delivery charge. For your own orders, you decide how much of the delivery cost you charge your customer and how much, if any, you want to cover yourself.

Can I use FoodFrom delivery drivers alongside my own drivers?

Yes. The FoodFrom Driver Marketplace is designed to add extra delivery capacity when your own drivers are busy, unavailable or you need temporary cover. You can continue using your existing drivers and delivery arrangements alongside the marketplace.

Who are the delivery drivers on the FoodFrom Driver Marketplace?

Drivers on the FoodFrom Driver Marketplace are local self-employed delivery drivers, not FoodFrom employees. They complete FoodFrom onboarding requirements before receiving marketplace access and remain free to accept or reject individual delivery jobs.

Can I choose which drivers deliver for my takeaway?

Yes. You can review and approve eligible drivers for your business, giving you control over which drivers can receive future delivery opportunities from you.

What happens if no driver accepts a delivery request?

A delivery is not assigned until a driver accepts it, and driver availability is not guaranteed. If no driver is available, you can use your existing delivery arrangement or offer the customer collection instead.

Where is the FoodFrom Driver Marketplace available?

If you are based in Telford or Hereford, you can currently apply for access while we continue onboarding local self-employed delivery drivers. Driver availability varies by area, day and time.
